Description: TGC Search is partnered with a top mechanical contracting firm in the Hartford Connecticut area looking to add a Chief Mechanical Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed bids and attending pre- and post-bid meetings while building strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed bids for mechanical projects.
Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings to represent the company and ensure project alignment.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project scope and requirements.
Work on projects across various sectors including industrial, commercial, healthcare, and educational.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience estimating projects up to $5 million in process piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Familiarity with competitive bids, negotiated estimates, and design-build projects.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical piping, airside systems, and related trades.

Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Self-motivated and a strong team player.
Ability to provide solutions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
